Job Description

Baptist is hiring for a Psych Provider Assistant for the Behavioral Health Outpatient Department. This is a Full Time Days position working Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm located at Baptist Medical Center Downtown. The Psych Provider Assistant (PPA) will support the Behavioral Health Department by directly assisting the provider and front desk staff.

Job Responsibility

  • The direct assistant to the psych provider
  • Manages all administrative duties for the psychiatrist
  • Performs similar functions for the non-psychiatrist providers as needed
  • Dually trains as an office specialist and has knowledge of the billing and scheduling job codes
  • Ensures that the office runs smoothly and without disruption

Requirements

  • 3-5 Years Relevant Behavioral Health experience in lieu of preferred education
  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Organizational skills
  • Previous experience in clerical work
  • Ability to multitask
