Requirements

A recognised Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in HGV/PSV maintenance and repair
A full UK driving licence (max. 6 points)
Ability to pass a company medical
Experience in commercial vehicle repair and maintenance
A positive, team-focused attitude with a strong work ethic

Job Responsibility

Routine servicing and maintenance of our fleet to Arriva and DVSA standards
Vehicle fault diagnostics and repairs to ensure maximum reliability
MOT prep and quality checks
Proactive contribution to fleet performance and safety
Shift work as part of a depot rota

Requirements

Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in PSV/HGV or automotive engineering
Ability to work independently and safely to set procedures
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability
Electrical knowledge (advantage but not essential)
PCV licence desirable (training provided if needed)
IRTEC accreditation welcomed (training can be supported)

Job Responsibility

Servicing and repairs across a diverse PCV fleet
Diagnostic work using the latest tools and equipment
MOT prep and planned preventative maintenance
Quality checks to maintain high engineering and safety standards
Roadside breakdown attendance and reactive repairs
Working shifts across earlies/lates/weekends (5 out of 7)

Requirements

PSV engineering experience is essential
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Bus & Coach, Heavy Vehicle or Automotive Engineering
Strong diagnostic capability using tools such as Cummins Insite, Volvo Tech Tool, ACTIA, WABCO, Xentry and similar
Good working knowledge of electrical systems, wiring looms, harnesses, alternators, starters and multiplexing
Confident using IT systems including Word, Excel, Outlook and diagnostic software
Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
Proactive, organised, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment
Willingness to continue developing skills through training and manufacturer courses
Must be able to pass a PCV medical (we will upgrade your licence to PCV!)

Job Responsibility

Take the lead on complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics across our PSV fleet
Diagnose and repair issues across engines, gearboxes, axles, body systems and high-voltage equipment
Work with advanced systems including CAN Line, After-Treatment Exhaust Systems, Multiplex networks, Euro5/Euro6 engines and hybrid technologies
Be the technical authority for fault investigations, root cause analysis and system performance
Act as custodian of all technical campaigns and fleet checks, ensuring our buses meet the highest safety and compliance standards
Provide expert advice to the Engineering Manager and liaise with OEM suppliers, chassis manufacturers and technical support teams
Support engineers across the depot and mentor apprentices where required
Carry out technical projects and trials on behalf of the wider Engineering leadership team
