Job Description:

Our provision offers up to 120 places for students, many of whom have experienced, or are at risk of, permanent exclusion. We provide a nurturing, structured environment where every young person is given the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The school shares its site with Skills Hub, and while this role will primarily be based at Pride, there may be occasional crossover during the day. We are seeking a passionate and versatile PSHE & Food Technology Teacher to join our team from January. This is a full-time position, split between delivering PSHE and Food Technology lessons to pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons that promote personal development, practical life skills, and healthy living.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to ensure consistency and progress across the curriculum
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and pastoral support

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching PSHE and/or Food Technology, ideally within an SEMH or Alternative Provision setting
  • Strong understanding of strategies to support pupils with SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
What we offer:
  • You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experience
  • Dedicated consultant allocated to support you with any questions and concerns
  • Support in writing CVs and job applications
  • £200 for any successful referral of Teachers and £100 for Teaching Assistants
  • You will receive free, up to date Safeguarding training
