Job Responsibility

  • Design and deliver a range of work schemes across the network, including paths, drainage and structures
  • Manage materials and stock
  • Ensure compliance with highways procedures
  • Maintain strong health and safety practices
  • Coordinate works and act as a key point of contact for stakeholders
  • Support the delivery of improvements across the PROW network
  • Take a lead role in coordinating larger projects and schemes
  • Support Area Officers in the design, delivery and implementation of works to maintain and improve the path network

Requirements

  • Experience in practical countryside management or PROW/highways construction
  • Strong understanding of health and safety processes and risk assessment
  • Confidence coordinating projects and supporting others
  • Experience of working with stakeholders such as landowners, contractors and volunteers
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service
  • Proven track record in managing projects and record keeping
  • Awareness of PROW legislation and its practical application
  • Knowledge of first aid
