Job Description

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual to join as a Prototype Build Operation Technician for our Luxembourg Technical Center in Hautcharage, Luxembourg, on a fixed-term contract (CDD) until 31 December 2026. The Prototype Build Operation Technician will be responsible for prototype assembly and testing according to Engineering requests, within committed timelines and with the required level of quality.

Job Responsibility

  • Receive Work Request, BOM and assembly drawing
  • Catch components from storage area in respect of the traceability rules
  • Realize the tooling needed for the assembly in cooperation with Manufacturing Engineer or Tool designer
  • Assemble and test the component in respect of Process Control Plan (PCP) and Work Instructions
  • Fill in Process Control Plan report
  • Record all deviations during the build process
  • Actively participate in assembly difficulties resolution with product / process / quality engineering in build area
  • Participate in debriefing of work orders with product / process / quality engineering

Requirements

  • Mechanical Bachelor or within an associated field
  • 2 - 5 years of experience as Technician
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing process
  • Flexible working hours required to meet demanding engineering prototype delivery schedules
  • Maintain lab, appearance, and equipment, in a safe hazard free environment
  • Fluency in English is required and/or French is preferred
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Nice to have

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and/or Automation Engineering preferred but not required
  • 3+ years of experience working on Power Electronics Products preferred
  • Experience as Technician in the automotive industry is preferred
