Job Description

Meta is seeking a full-time Protective Intelligence Analyst to join the Global Executive Protection Team. The Protective Intelligence Team supports intelligence-related tasks including investigations, the assessments of risk and threats, travel and event risk assessments, executive protection support, and operational methods. The analyst will conduct thorough threat assessments and intelligence analysis to support the safety and security of Meta’s executives, lead and manage projects that support cross-functional internal clients, including both headquarters and regional offices and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to deliver actionable intelligence and risk mitigation strategies.

Job Responsibility

  • Work on a global team of protective intelligence analysts and program leads assessing real world threats to Meta leaders and Board of Directors
  • Provide comprehensive analysis on potential threats
  • Provide Protective Intelligence briefings to executives and/or stakeholders on threat findings and risk trends
  • Develop analytical risk assessments highlighting gaps in current detection processes for identifying risk to leaders
  • Gather and analyze data to facilitate improvements in the methodologies, tools and techniques to enable the team to scale and optimize operations to mitigate potential risk
  • Proactively identifies important problems and solutions that impact longer-term strategic objectives
  • Follow company procedures and processes as it relates to Global Security best practices, and handling of confidential information
  • Able to flex work schedule, with some evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Travel to regional and global offices and events annually (<25%)

Requirements

  • 12+ years of relevant work experience in risk intelligence and/or investigations
  • Experience in data analysis and subject-matter research and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven track record of leading and compiling complex risk assessments
  • Experience in working with non-security teams to develop programmatic enhancements that result in comprehensive risk management strategies
  • Proven track record of working within a global arena
  • Proven track record to work with highly confidential information
  • Proven effectiveness in drafting and presenting to different target audience
  • Highly organized, responsive, and demonstrate a proactive, solutions-oriented approach

  • Threat Monitoring & Early Warning: Continuously monitor open sources, social media platforms, dark web, and client-specific intelligence tools for threats or hostile surveillance activity directed at principals, their families, residences, travel plans, or affiliated events.
  • Protective Research & Threat Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on persons of interest (POIs), hostile actors, and groups with the intent or capability to target principals. Assess motivations, capability, opportunity, and intent to identify potential attack indicators.
  • Travel Risk Intelligence: Provide proactive intelligence support to executive protection teams during domestic and international travel, including country risk assessments, route reconnaissance, hotel and venue security reviews, and incident monitoring during trips. Deliver timely updates to traveling principals and EP teams.
  • Protective Operations Support: Deliver actionable, real-time intelligence to EP teams in support of principal movements, protective advances, route planning, and residence/event security. Maintain constant threat environment awareness and communicate relevant changes.
  • Geopolitical & Environmental Risk Tracking: Monitor global and regional security issues, including terrorism, political unrest, crime trends, natural disasters, and health risks—that could affect principals’ safety during travel or at residences/events.
  • Actionable Reporting & Products: Produce timely, clear, and actionable intelligence products including: Threat assessments (strategic and tactical), Travel risk assessments (pre-trip and in-trip updates), Situation reports (SITREPs) and incident summaries, Route and location assessments (residences, hotels, venues, offices)
