Job Description:

The Prospect Researcher will play a key role in supporting U.S.-based fundraisers and global prospecting efforts for the Lebanese American University's capital campaign.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct proactive and reactive research on individuals, corporations, and foundations
  • Identify new prospects
  • Update alumni and donor records
  • Prepare research deliverables that inform fundraising strategy
  • Focus on identifying and qualifying prospects in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and other regions
  • Assist in maintaining data integrity within LAU’s CRM system
  • Contribute to the success of the university’s capital campaign
  • Participate in regular virtual meetings with the Director of Research (Beirut), the Assistant Director of Research, and the Vice President for Advancement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • coursework in research, communications, nonprofit management, or related fields preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in prospect research, fundraising, or data analysis (internships and part-time roles considered)
  • Familiarity with research tools such as iWave, WealthEngine, LinkedIn, and Foundation Directory Online is a plus
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM systems (preferably Raiser's Edge NXT)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
