Job Description:

Mach Industries is seeking a Propulsion Integration Engineer to lead the design, integration, and testing of propulsion systems for our next-generation autonomous vehicles. You will be responsible for developing advanced propulsion systems that meet the critical needs of modern defense technology. The role will involve designing propulsion components, integrating them into unmanned air vehicles (UAVs), and executing rigorous testing protocols to ensure system reliability and performance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the design and integration of propulsion systems (engines, fuel systems, components) for unmanned air vehicles (UAVs)
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure aerodynamic performance, mechanical integrity, and system functionality
  • Design and fabricate prototype components, testing them rigorously to meet performance goals
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for propulsion systems
  • Collaborate with external vendors, managing partnerships to ensure timely and successful integration of propulsion components
  • Support live demonstrations and field testing, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance
  • Maintain a focus on scalable, cost-effective solutions

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of propulsion or propulsion integration experience, preferably with air breathing engines, rocket systems, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or similar platforms
  • Proven ability to design, test, and integrate propulsion systems, from prototype through to operational systems
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering

Nice to have:

  • Experience with NX/Teamcenter and advanced CAD tools for component and system design
  • Hands-on experience with jet engine testing, including test practices, instrumentation, data analysis, and performance validation
  • Knowledge of Engine Management Systems (EMS) and experience with motorsport or OEM systems
  • Practical experience working in a machine shop, with a working knowledge of shop safety protocols and procurement practices
