Skills for Care is entering an exciting new phase. As part of our new corporate strategy, we're strengthening and expanding our commercial offer over the next five years to better support the adult social care sector. To help us do this, we're looking for a commercially minded Proposition Manager who is keen to apply their experience in a purpose-driven organisation and make a real difference to the sector. This role is ideal for someone with a strong commercial background – whether in commercial proposition development, consulting, or strategy – who is motivated by the opportunity to bring those skills into a charity environment where the impact is tangible.

Job Responsibility:

  • Shaping how new ideas become viable, valuable offers for the market
  • Bringing structure, commercial thinking and customer insight to decisions about what Skills for Care develops, grows, evolves or stops
  • Commercial design of propositions: understanding customer needs, defining value, shaping pricing and commercial models, and building robust business cases
  • Working with colleagues across the organisation to ensure what we bring to market is commercially viable, clearly positioned, and aligned with customer value and organisational priorities
  • Helping organisation make confident, evidence-based decisions about where to invest and grow

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial background in commercial proposition development, consulting, or strategy
  • Experience in charity or purpose-driven organisation environment
  • Ability to bring structure, commercial thinking and customer insight to decisions
  • Experience in commercial design of propositions: understanding customer needs, defining value, shaping pricing and commercial models, and building robust business cases
  • Ability to work at the intersection of strategy, insight and delivery – turning ideas into clear propositions
