Job Description:

We’re recruiting for an experienced Proposals Engineer to lead the full bid process for industrial automation and control systems projects. This is a technical and commercial role where you’ll interpret client specs, develop compliant solutions, produce detailed proposals, and build accurate cost estimates (materials + engineering hours). You’ll also support client engagement and manage multiple tenders to deadline.

Job Responsibility:

Requirements:

  • Background in control systems / automation / electrical engineering

  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and identify risks
  • Strong technical writing and commercial awareness

  • Understand the technical aspects of the Tender or product being proposed, often working closely with technical experts within the organization
  • Identification of all necessary technical deliverables and potential risks associated with the proposed solutions
  • Preparation of the necessary designs and studies
  • Write and/or edit proposal content, including technical sections and other relevant documents ensuring it adheres to the guidelines provided in the RFP/RFQ
  • Collaborate with other proposals disciplines, departments (engineering, construction etc.), sub-contractors and external consultants to fulfill the tender requirements
  • Ensure that the technical details in the proposal are accurate and align with the client's requirements
  • Evaluate bids from partners, sub-contractors and suppliers and present recommendations to the Proposal Manager and costing manager
  • Negotiate with Customers and Technology providers being responsible for explaining and discussing the technical Proposals in the field of mechanical engineering
