Job Description:

Amentum is seeking multiple Proposal Managers to serve as core members of the Proposals team. This role provides proposal development support across Amentum programs within a dynamic and complex environment, leading the development and submission of clear, compliant and compelling proposal solutions and execution packages. The Proposal Manager is responsible for integrating with key stakeholders to deliver effective, efficient and timely proposals, often under tight deadlines.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the end-to-end proposal development and submission process, including interpretation of RFPs, coordination of RFIs, development of solution strategies, SOW preparation, bid analysis, strategic planning, and execution package development
  • Analyse RFP requirements and develop proposal strategies that align with customer expectations and organisational business objectives
  • Facilitate the development, coordination, and review of proposal deliverables
  • Mentor and support Proposal Manager team members in workload management and professional development
  • Ensure all proposal documentation is maintained in accordance with established document control processes and procedures
  • Support proposal reporting activities for stakeholders and management as required
  • Liaise with stakeholders to support proposal interpretation, compliance, and clarification activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive proposal development initiatives and support continuous improvement outcomes
  • Monitor proposal schedules, milestones, and commitments with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date proposal records and documentation
  • Promote and maintain workplace health, safety, and compliance practices
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Business, Management, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Zero to two (2) years of related experience in proposals, contracts, procurement, or administrative support
  • Proposal and project management process knowledge
  • Proposal document preparation using Microsoft Office and Adobe suites
  • Document management experience
  • Diploma or undergraduate qualification in Business, Management, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of related experience in proposal coordination or contract support
  • Undergraduate qualification in Business, Management, Project Management, or related field required
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of progressive experience in proposal development and project management
  • Demonstrated proposal and project management process knowledge
  • Proficiency in proposal document preparation using Microsoft Office and Adobe suites
  • Document management experience
  • Active U.S. Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
  • or equivalent Australian NV1 or Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defense Security Clearance and ability to maintain that clearance or obtain higher clearance
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to fluently read, write and speak English
  • Australian or US Citizen
