Spatial Front, Inc. is seeking two highly motivated Proposal Coordinators to join our Business Development and Proposal team in Bethesda, MD. This is an on-site role, five days per week. This position is ideal for an early-career professional or recent graduate who is highly organized, detail-oriented, willing to work hard, and has a strong desire to win. No prior proposal experience is required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training. The Proposal Coordinator will support the full lifecycle of federal proposal development and work closely with capture managers, technical writers, subject matter experts, and leadership to produce compliant, compelling, and high-quality proposal submissions.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage the end-to-end proposal development process for federal opportunities, including RFPs, RFIs, and SOWs
Develop and maintain proposal schedules, compliance matrices, outlines, and status reports
Facilitate color team reviews, including Pink, Red, and Gold reviews, track action items, and drive deadlines to completion
Collaborate with capture managers, technical writers, SMEs, and technical teams to ensure timely and high-quality submissions
Maintain version control and manage proposal documentation and repositories using tools such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, or equivalent systems
Create visually appealing, professionally formatted PowerPoint presentations for oral proposals and marketing materials
Assist with desktop publishing, formatting, and layout in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to ensure branding, readability, and compliance
Ensure all proposal documents fully comply with RFP instructions, evaluation criteria, and submission requirements
Review proposal sections for completeness, consistency, grammar, formatting, and adherence to win themes and compliance matrices
Maintain and enhance the proposal knowledge base, including boilerplate content, resumes, past performance summaries, and standard graphics
Recommend and help implement process improvements, templates, and reusable assets to increase efficiency and quality
Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and provide administrative support to Business Development and Proposal team leadership
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
U.S. Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in proposal coordination, technical writing, or a related role is preferred but not required
No prior proposal experience is necessary
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and PowerPoint, with the ability to produce polished, professional documents and presentations
Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, formatting, and layout
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Willingness to work hard, learn quickly, and contribute to a winning team
Nice to have:
Familiarity with the federal acquisition process and government-wide contracts such as GSA Schedules, BPAs, and IDIQs
Interest in pursuing certification
