Requirements

Strong knowledge of property owners underwriting guidelines and practices

Job Responsibility

Analyse and evaluate property owners insurance risks to determine potential profitability
Underwrite new and renewal property owners business within designated authority levels
Develop and maintain productive relationships with brokers and clients
Engaging with brokers and clients to gather necessary information for underwriting
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure underwriting guidelines are followed
Monitor industry trends and market developments to make informed underwriting decisions
Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and brokers

Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience gained within commercial insurance underwriting products – property, motor, EL, PL, commercial combined, property owners, etc.
Understanding of the local broking marketplace with relationships in place
A good understanding of insurance principles

Strong organisational skills
Progression towards CII qualifications would be beneficial
