Job Description

Quinovic New Plymouth is seeking an experienced and dedicated Property Manager to join our team in New Plymouth, Taranaki. This is a full-time position based in our New Plymouth office, where you will play a crucial role in managing residential properties and delivering exceptional service to our landlords and tenants. As a Property Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring properties are well-maintained, tenancies are professionally managed, and all parties experience outstanding customer service. This role is fundamental to upholding Quinovic's reputation for excellence in residential property management.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing a portfolio of residential properties, including day-to-day operations and landlord/tenant relations
  • Conducting property inspections and ensuring compliance with Tenancy Agreements and property standards
  • Handling tenant enquiries, and maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinating repairs, maintenance and improvements with contractors and service providers
  • Preparing property documentation, Tenancy Agreements and tenancy records
  • Marketing vacant properties and liaising with prospective tenants throughout the leasing process
  • Ensuring all properties comply with relevant legislation
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases for property and tenant information
  • Communicating regularly with landlords to provide updates on their property and any issues requiring attention
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with landlords, tenants and service providers

Requirements

  • Experience in residential property management would be an advantage, although applicants with the right attitude and transferable skills will also be considered, with training provided
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously
  • Professional communication skills and a customer-service focused approach
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and use property management software and online systems are essential
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and financial management
  • Physical capability to conduct property inspections and site visits
  • A valid driver's licence is essential
  • Relevant qualifications in property management desirable
  • A self-motivated individual who can work autonomously while also enjoying being part of a collaborative and supportive team.
