We are looking for a skilled Property Manager to oversee financial and operational aspects of property management in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting expertise and proficiency in property management software. The ideal candidate will excel in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the seamless operation of property-related tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the day-to-day financial operations for assigned properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including accrual accounting and month-end close processes
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate transactions
Utilize property management software such as Yardi or AppFolio to maintain financial records and streamline workflows
Conduct thorough reviews of budgets, expenses, and income to optimize property profitability
Collaborate with property management teams to ensure operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction
Monitor lease agreements and ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions
Generate reports and provide insights to assist in decision-making processes
Identify and implement improvements in accounting practices and property management procedures
Respond promptly to inquiries from tenants, vendors, and stakeholders regarding financial matters
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or management
Proficiency in Yardi Software and familiarity with other property management systems
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and month-end close processes
Experience working with AppFolio or similar software
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Excellent communication skills for interacting with tenants, vendors, and team members
