Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee daily operations of an affordable housing community. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing tax credit (LIHTC) and/or HUD-regulated properties and a strong understanding of affordable housing compliance requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented leader who can balance regulatory compliance, resident relations, financial oversight, and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee daily operations of the property, ensuring compliance with LIHTC and/or HUD regulations
  • Maintain strict adherence to affordable housing compliance standards, including income certifications and recertifications
  • Supervise leasing, occupancy, and waitlist management
  • Manage rent collections, delinquencies, and reporting
  • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
  • Coordinate property inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Oversee maintenance operations and vendor relationships
  • Develop and manage operating budgets
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents while enforcing community policies

Requirements

  • Direct experience managing Affordable Housing properties
  • Hands-on experience with LIHTC (Tax Credit) and/or HUD programs
  • Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and reporting requirements
  • Experience with income certifications and annual recertifications

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of Property Management experience
  • Yardi, RealPage, or similar property management software experience
  • Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience
  • CAM, HCCP, or similar certification preferred
