We are seeking an experienced Property & Estate Management Officer to help maintain safe, high‑quality homes and estates. You will survey and assess our homes, supporting resident‑focused improvements while working with colleagues and contractors to deliver quality and value across Cardiff. Job Responsibility
Identifying and resolving problems that residents have reported in their homes, including damp and mould inspections
Undertaking stock condition surveys and assisting with future cyclical planned maintenance works for your patch
Making sensible investment decisions about future works
Undertaking fire risk assessments in blocks of flats (Training Provided)
Undertaking safety/Compliance checks and assessing risk
Proactively leading, managing and developing the team of site staff in line with the WWHG way
Enabling the delivery of services to residents by providing effective support to all departments and front-line staff within the Group
Requirements
Level 4 qualification within the Construction Industry or willingness to work towards one
Proven track record in the construction industry, a housing association, or a similar role
In-depth understanding of property maintenance and ability to diagnose and resolve common building defects/issues
Ability to complete property surveys
Strong communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Commitment to delivering a high-quality, friendly, and customer-oriented service
Self-awareness and a drive for continuous improvement
Ability to thrive as part of a small, busy team and when working independently
Confident in organising own workload and making sound decisions
Positive and flexible attitude
