Job Description:

We are looking for two senior underwriters based in Glasgow and the Midlands. One role will focus on complex SME within the Property & Commercial team, and the other role will focus on complex casualty within the Liability & Construction team. Please note both roles are Hybrid based.

Job Responsibility:

  • Underwriting and account management
  • Identifying new opportunities
  • Development and implementation of new schemes and rollover deals
  • Mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues
  • Carrying out broker meetings on behalf of the business

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ Commercial Underwriting experience
  • Has/is working towards professional qualifications
  • A well-rounded understanding of different product classes
  • Possess substantial knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Have the ability to underwrite complex risks
  • Display proven trading capability
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • IT competent, particularly with Microsoft Office applications
  • A desire to contribute valuable insights and aid in our company’s evolution
