We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Administrator to support compliance activities for an affordable housing portfolio in Middleton, Wisconsin. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation, and helping ensure properties operate in line with applicable housing program regulations and internal standards. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while communicating effectively with teams, residents, and external agencies.
Job Responsibility
Manage compliance-related files, records, and reporting for an assigned portfolio of affordable housing properties
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, and resolve day-to-day administrative issues that affect compliance operations
Coordinate with property teams, supervisors, and external agencies to help maintain adherence to applicable housing regulations and program requirements
Prepare letters, forms, and other written communications using standard office software and document management tools
Enter and update data in Yardi, spreadsheets, and other tracking systems to support audits, certifications, and ongoing portfolio oversight
Assist with scheduling meetings, deadlines, and recurring compliance activities across multiple properties and office locations
Handle confidential information with discretion while providing responsive service to internal stakeholders and residents
Support training efforts, follow established policies and procedures, and participate in meetings or site-related activities as needed, including occasional evening or weekend commitments
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in property administration, compliance support, affordable housing operations, or a related field
High school diploma or equivalent required
additional coursework in accounting, business, or administration is preferred
Working knowledge of compliance practices and affordable housing program requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, data entry, mail merge, and general office systems, including multi-line phone support
Experience using Yardi or similar property management software
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and accurate correspondence
Highly organized, with the ability to meet deadlines, follow direction, and work independently
Ability to maintain confidentiality, deliver strong customer service, and work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
