Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Property Administrator to oversee the daily operations of residential properties in Modesto, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing tenant relationships, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the healthcare/NHS industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage day-to-day property operations, including rent collection, lease administration, and coordination of maintenance services
  • Supervise on-site staff by providing training, assigning tasks, and fostering a collaborative work environment
  • Market and lease available units to prospective tenants, ensuring occupancy targets are met
  • Oversee property budgets by tracking expenses, approving expenditures, and preparing financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations, including fair housing laws
  • Organize tenant engagement events to build a sense of community and enhance resident satisfaction
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritize and complete property repairs and inspections in a timely manner
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on property performance, including occupancy rates, financial metrics, and resident feedback
  • Monitor vendor services to ensure cost-effective and quality operations
  • Address tenant inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential property management or a related field
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems and property management platforms
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting processes
  • Familiarity with budget planning and commercial property management
  • Understanding of local housing regulations and fair housing laws
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with tenants, staff, and external vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
