We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Administrator to support daily office operations and resident-facing services for a property team in Salinas, California. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing administrative work with tenant interaction in a fast-paced property management environment. The person in this role will help keep records organized, assist residents with routine processes, and contribute to a welcoming and efficient office experience.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome residents, visitors, and tenants in a courteous manner and serve as a primary point of contact in the office
Support resident recertification activities by preparing documentation, tracking deadlines, and helping ensure files remain complete and accurate
Enter and maintain property information in Yardi and other internal systems with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness
Explain office procedures and community-related processes to tenants so they understand requirements, timelines, and next steps
Assist with general administrative duties such as document preparation, record maintenance, email communication, and routine office coordination
Use Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Paylocity to manage day-to-day administrative tasks and support property operations
Help maintain a welcoming front-office environment that reflects an organized image for the property and management team
Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in property management, property administration, assistant property management, or a related office support role
Prior exposure to residential or commercial property operations with confidence working directly with tenants or residents
Working knowledge of Yardi software for data entry, record updates, or property administration tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly guide tenants through forms, procedures, and office processes
Organized and detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a structured office setting
Detail-oriented presentation and customer-service mindset suited for a front-facing business environment
