Job Description

We are looking for a Property Administrator to support the daily management of an affordable housing community in Seattle, Washington. This is a Contract position that combines resident-facing service with administrative coordination, helping keep operations organized, compliant, and responsive. The person in this role will work closely with site leadership, residents, and maintenance personnel to maintain accurate records, address inquiries, and contribute to stable occupancy and smooth property performance.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with the Property Manager to help oversee routine community operations and maintain efficient day-to-day administration
  • Serve as a point of contact for residents and applicants by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and following up on service-related issues promptly and professionally
  • Manage leasing and occupancy paperwork, including applications, certifications, renewals, move-ins, and move-outs, while following established housing and company guidelines
  • Keep resident files, account information, and property documentation organized and up to date to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Assist with rent processing, monitor outstanding balances, and support collection efforts through timely communication and account follow-up
  • Work with maintenance team members to track service requests, coordinate completion of work orders, and help ensure resident issues are addressed effectively
  • Prepare routine reports, written communications, and general administrative documents needed for property operations and management review
  • Support leasing efforts by communicating with prospective residents, helping maintain occupancy targets, and ensuring required documentation is complete and accurate

Requirements

  • Prior experience in property management, leasing, affordable housing, or a comparable administrative support position is preferred
  • Familiarity with affordable housing compliance programs and regulated property environments is advantageous
  • Experience using property management platforms such as Yardi, OneSite, or similar software is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational ability with careful attention to accuracy, documentation, and deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach to resident and applicant interactions
