The Property Accounting Manager role focuses on overseeing daily and monthly accounting activities for all operations within specified areas of expertise and ensuring the accuracy of financial information to safeguard company assets. This position includes managing and developing a team, completing month-end close processes, preparing budgets, assisting audits, and developing best practices and procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Complete the month-end close process and reporting, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all property and general & administrative (G& A) activities by maintaining experienced staff
Develop and implement best practices and procedures
Provide direction and support for the assigned team, guiding their training and development to increase competency and commitment
Prepare ad-hoc reports, analyses, and special projects as needed by the Director of Shared Services
Assist and support audit initiatives, and monitor, enforce, and test internal control systems
Prepare the annual budget for respective areas
Direct and review staff activities and other special projects as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Finance
5+ years property/lease accounting experience
Strong leadership – will manage a team of 3 (2 staff accountants and 1 admin)
