Job Description – PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT Chartwell Hospitality LLC is a fully integrated real estate company specializing in the acquisition, development and management of high-quality, branded, limited-service and full-service hotels. The Company is currently recruiting for a Property Accountant. Summary: The Property Accountant is responsible for the full cycle accounting for a portfolio of hotel properties. Duties include: preparing and maintaining accurate financial records by performing a variety of accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of financial records, and preparing financial, statistical, and/or technical reports within the existing internal control framework.

Job Responsibility

  • Monthly close procedures
  • Preparation, detailed analysis, and reconciliation of financial statements, general ledgers, budgets, cash flow projections
  • Perform daily activities such as posting daily sales and cash journal entries
  • Provide accounting support to the portfolio's managers
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with internal and external Audit requests
  • Assist in meeting Tax Compliance including Monthly Sales Tax Filings
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations
  • Complete ad hoc requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in an accounting/finance environment
  • Hospitality experience and/or real estate background is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel knowledge required
