Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations across a portfolio of commercial real estate entities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy and organization, and is looking for a stable, long-term position within a supportive environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple entities (LLCs and trusts)
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including weekly AP processing
  • Prepare and issue tenant invoices, including maintenance and lease-specific billing
  • Perform CAM reconciliations and real estate tax reconciliations
  • Track and record tenant deposits
  • manage tenant set-up and close-out in Yardi
  • Maintain tenant and vendor insurance certificates and related documentation
  • Assist with lease administration and review for accounting impact
  • Process annual 1099s and support year-end close across multiple entities
  • Prepare reports and schedules for external accounting firm
  • Support payroll and monthly cash flow/intercompany reporting
  • Ensure compliance with state filings and property-related financial obligations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of accounting experience (property accounting strongly preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with Yardi
  • Strong Excel and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive, self-motivated approach
