We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day accounting operations across a portfolio of commercial real estate entities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy and organization, and is looking for a stable, long-term position within a supportive environment.
Job Responsibility:
Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple entities (LLCs and trusts)
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including weekly AP processing
Prepare and issue tenant invoices, including maintenance and lease-specific billing
Perform CAM reconciliations and real estate tax reconciliations
Track and record tenant deposits
manage tenant set-up and close-out in Yardi
Maintain tenant and vendor insurance certificates and related documentation
Assist with lease administration and review for accounting impact
Process annual 1099s and support year-end close across multiple entities
Prepare reports and schedules for external accounting firm
Support payroll and monthly cash flow/intercompany reporting
Ensure compliance with state filings and property-related financial obligations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
5+ years of accounting experience (property accounting strongly preferred)
Hands-on experience with Yardi
Strong Excel and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Detail-oriented with a proactive, self-motivated approach
