Property Accountant

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements for retail properties
• Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in compliance with organizational standards
• Manage accounts payable processes for corporate and property operations using AvidXchange
• Handle tenant billing activities and accounts receivable related to property operations
• Assist with reconciliations for real estate taxes and insurance, issuing tenant billings as needed
• Abstract lease agreements and accurately input data into the property management system
• Maintain organized lease records, including tracking critical dates and ensuring compliance with lease terms
• Analyze lease clauses to support reconciliation processes and correspond with tenants accordingly
• Collaborate with property management and leasing teams on lease-related inquiries and updates
• Communicate with tenants regarding various matters, such as inspection notices and sales reports

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Strong knowledge of lease administration, including abstracting lease documents and maintaining records
• Familiarity with accounting software, including AppFolio, and property management systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in financial reporting and lease management
• Ability to analyze lease clauses and reconcile tenant accounts effectively
• Strong communication skills to interact with tenants and internal teams
• Knowledge of real estate tax and insurance reconciliations is a plus
