A respected real estate investment group based in the West Palm Beach area is seeking a Property Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional with 2–5+ years of experience who wants to build deeper expertise in commercial real estate within a stable, long-term environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages, including variance analysis support
Maintain general ledger integrity and supporting schedules/workpapers
Assist with month-end close by posting journal entries (accruals, prepaids) and completing bank reconciliations
Monitor weekly cash activity and review bank transactions
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Generate management fee invoices, rent reconciliations, and cash distribution schedules
Coordinate lender draw submissions and assist with recurring lender reporting
Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns
Maintain lease records in Yardi, including new leases and amendments
Complete annual CAM reconciliations and contribute to the budgeting process
Support external auditors during annual financial statement reviews
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
Commercial real estate accounting background strongly preferred
Proficient in Excel and comfortable working within accounting systems
Yardi experience a plus
Must be able to work onsite in West Palm Beach five days per week
