Property Accountant

• Handle monthly close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries
• Manage property accounting tasks using Yardi software to maintain accurate records
• Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Perform balance sheet and bank account reconciliations to verify accuracy
• Oversee accrual accounting practices and monitor financial transactions
• Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting activities for property portfolios
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts with detailed accuracy
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business objectives
• Ensure timely reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting workflows

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting or a related field
• Proficiency in Yardi software for property management accounting
• Solid understanding of month-end close processes and accrual accounting
• Expertise in general ledger management and journal entries
• Experience preparing financial statements and reconciling accounts
• Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage complex tasks

A bachelor's degree is preferred, willing to consider associate's degree with industry experience
