Job Description

Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for month-end, quarter end and year-end close activities from balance sheet and cash account reconciliations
  • Manage and accounts payable and receivable activities for assigned portfolio
  • Produce and manage variance reports
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements
  • Manage debt and debt payments
  • Prepare and review properly documented journal entries
  • Assist with Budgets and Forecasts as needed, working with asset management and Finance leadership
  • Assist with the calculation of fees (i.e. Management and Acquisition) as needed
  • Identify and implement process re-engineering opportunities
  • Record cash receipts, receivables and other journal entries as appropriate
  • Special projects and other functions as required by manager or client
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual property reporting accurately and on time

Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in a professional accounting/bookkeeping role
  • Accounting degree or significant work experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience in commercial real estate accounting is required
