They are currently seeking a talented Property Accountant to join their dynamic, collaborative finance team in the West Island. Job Responsibility
Full-Cycle Portfolio Accounting: Manage day-to-day financial operations and monthly closing processes for the portfolio
Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements and management reports in strict compliance with GAAP/IFRS
Cash Management: Oversee and optimize cash flow balances across the properties
Year-End Recoveries: Drive the year-end tenant reconciliation process for common area maintenance (CAM) and realty tax billings
Collaborative Budgeting: Partner closely with property management and operations teams to assist in annual budget preparation and forecasting
Stakeholder Relations: Serve as a key financial contact for external stakeholders, providing clear, data-driven financial insights
Requirements
College or University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, specifically within the real estate industry
Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS reporting standards and advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, financial modeling)
Fully bilingual (English/French)
Fluent English proficiency (written and verbal) is required
Exceptional attention to detail, strong autonomy, and a passion for financial accuracy
