Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Account Handler to join their team, managing a portfolio of Commercial and Property clients while delivering high-quality insurance service and effective policy management. The role involves managing insurance portfolios, supporting client relationships, and ensuring all activity meets industry and regulatory standards. This position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team, providing tailored insurance solutions across the property sector.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver a high level of service, responding promptly and professionally to client queries
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding individual insurance needs
  • Assist in the preparation, renewal, and maintenance of insurance policies to ensure accuracy and continuity of cover
  • Provide advice on a range of insurance products and identify opportunities to enhance client coverage
  • Liaise with insurers to secure competitive terms and negotiate premiums on behalf of clients
  • Process new business, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations within agreed timelines
  • Review and check the accuracy of policy documentation, terms, and conditions
  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company standards
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and other team members to deliver consistent client support
  • Manage a portfolio of clients within the Residential Property Owners sector, including D&O and Engineering covers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in line with company policy
  • Attend client offices across the UK when required to strengthen relationships and support service delivery
  • Contribute to operational efficiency and the overall success of the Property team

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar Account Handler role within insurance
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
  • Experience using insurance platforms or CRM systems
  • Good understanding of FCA compliance and regulatory responsibilities
  • Proven track record of maintaining documentation accuracy and compliance standards
  • CII qualification (or working towards) and experience with Acturis or similar systems (desirable)
