We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will serve as the critical final step in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of merchandising materials such as menus, displays, signage, and other creative content. Collaborating with designers, project managers, and branding teams, you will play a vital role in maintaining brand integrity and delivering error-free content to clients. Job Responsibility:
Review written materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and adherence to style guidelines
Validate information such as pricing, timelines, product details, and brand names to ensure factual accuracy
Check final content to confirm alignment with approved designs and client-provided specifications across both digital and printed formats
Evaluate copy to ensure it maintains the appropriate tone and consistency with brand standards
Develop and refine proofreading processes, including creating checklists and updating style guides for consistency
Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining strict attention to deadlines and quality
Collaborate closely with creative teams, marketing stakeholders, and traffic managers to address content concerns
Identify and implement improvements in proofreading workflows to enhance team efficiency
Requirements:
Minimum of 3–6 years of proofreading experience within a creative agency, studio, or production environment
Strong knowledge of grammar, syntax, and style conventions such as AP or Chicago Manual of Style
Ability to adapt to different brand tones and formats while maintaining consistency
Exceptional attention to detail, capable of catching subtle errors in both digital and printed materials
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working effectively with diverse teams
Familiarity with retail, foodservice, or merchandising projects is highly desirable
