Talentmark are recruiting for a Proofreader II to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 12 months. Our client is one of the world's premier innovative biopharmaceutical companies, discovering, developing and providing over 160 different medicines, vaccines and consumer healthcare products to help improve the lives of millions of people in the UK and around the world every year.

Job Responsibility

  • Verify final printed secondary packaging component artwork against Editor’s Copy documents for accuracy and consistency
  • Conduct technical review of packaging components across a global pharmaceutical portfolio and multiple markets
  • Ensure compliance with local country and regional formatting, style guidelines and trade dress requirements
  • Liaise with Worldwide Safety & Regulatory teams, Country Offices, Global Labeling Management and global artwork centres
  • Provide editorial input on regulatory documents prior to artwork creation where requested

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical proofreading, packaging or medical/scientific documentation, or 4+ years’ relevant proofreading experience in lieu of a degree
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with solid knowledge of medical and scientific terminology
  • Proven ability to identify errors in typography, spelling, grammar, punctuation and style
  • Experience using digital or mechanised proofreading tools
  • 20/20 colour vision (corrected) is required

  • Under general supervision, provides support to sworn police officers by responding to low priority patrol calls in the lobby, by phone or in person and conducting field investigations, assisting with traffic control, motorist assists, various traffic hazards and minor vehicle collisions, collecting evidence, preparing reports, performing data entry, writing citations and conducting routine patrol for parking violations
