Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Proofer on a contract basis to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. This contract-to-permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the quality and accuracy of our wholesale distribution catalogs. The position requires a sharp eye for detail and strong organizational skills to ensure all materials meet high standards of excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Review and proofread copy to ensure accuracy in spelling, grammar, and formatting
  • Cross-check data across multiple versions of point-of-sale materials and catalogs containing thousands of items
  • Utilize online project management tools, such as Workfront, to manage tasks and collaborate effectively
  • Maintain consistency and quality across various catalog versions
  • Follow provided guidelines and training to efficiently navigate internal systems
  • Verify product information and descriptions for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate effectively with team members to resolve discrepancies or clarify data
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks to meet project deadlines
  • Participate in periodic catalog updates and revisions twice a year
  • Maintain high standards of quality control throughout the proofreading process

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in proofreading and editing materials with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Workfront, is preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze and verify data across multiple formats and versions
  • Exceptional focus and accuracy in reviewing large volumes of content
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
  • Willingness to participate in recurring seasonal assignments
