Job Description

Location: Central Preston Salary: £13.00phr Shift pattern: 1 week 8am till 16.00pm/2 week 14.00-22.00 We're seeking a compassionate and driven Project Worker to support young adults aged 16-24years who have experienced homelessness. You'll help them build independence, develop practical life skills, and move into stable housing.

Job Responsibility

Provide person-centred support through regular keywork sessions and tailored support plans
Help young people access education, training, employment, and health services
Promote life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and tenancy management
Work collaboratively with local authorities and partner agencies to ensure holistic support
Maintain accurate case notes and contribute to safeguarding practices
Provide Emotional support to help young people

Requirements

Experience working with vulnerable young people, ideally within housing or homelessness services
Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
Confident communicator with empathy, resilience, and good organisational skills
Knowledge of housing options and benefits systems is an advantage
