Job Description:

About the Role: Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Lead project structural engineering team; provide mentorship and oversight of work given to junior staff; Analysis and design of various building framing and foundation systems in structural steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry; Development of construction documents, building information model, drawings, and specifications; meeting the scheduled project issue dates; Collaborating and coordinating with other technical disciplines; Construction administration, including shop drawing review and responding to Contractor questions; Assist in developing proposals.

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer

  • Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team setting with overtime as required

Nice to have:

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Revit experience preferred
  • RISA-3D and RISAFloor experience preferred

  • Financial Oversight: Manage project financials, including preparing monthly percent-complete reports, financial projections, and pre-billing for invoicing
  • Document Review: Participate in the preparation and review of construction documents (e.g., drawings, submittals, geotechnical reports, and proposals) to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements
  • Coordination: Attend design coordination meetings with team members and client representatives to ensure clear communication and alignment
  • Field Work: Coordinate and assist with site visits, field measurements, data collection, and construction site inspections. Prepare field reports and follow up on observations
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (drafters, designers, engineers) and external stakeholders (consultants, architects, contractors, clients) to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Business Development: Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development teams to respond to RFQs, including participation in interviews, resume preparation, and presentations
