Job Description

An established UK consultancy specialising in the delivery of infrastructure and public sector schemes seeks a commercially astute Project Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. The role combines office-based advisory work with hands-on project involvement, focusing on managing contract matters, ensuring project success, and protecting client interests.

Job Responsibility

Managing contract matters
Providing strategic commercial input
Ensuring client’s interests are protected throughout the project lifecycle
Working alongside delivery teams, contractors and subcontractors to achieve commercial targets and successful project outcomes
Driving process improvements
Offering commercial solutions
Taking ownership of projects from pre-contract through to final account.

Requirements

Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or Civil Engineering (HNC/HND considered)
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits
Strong understanding of NEC4 contracts and procurement strategies
Ideally working towards or holding membership of RICS, CICES, CIPS or ICE
Proven ability to foster collaborative relationships across delivery teams
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
