Our client, is looking for a strategic and highly collaborative Project / Program Manager - Data Governance to lead a critical, large-scale enterprise data program. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple related workstreams nested under a single strategic corporate program. The core mission centers on Data Governance—specifically driving data policy development and ensuring its seamless adoption across multiple independent business units. This position demands a seasoned delivery professional who can look beyond pure tracking to think strategically, manage complex cross-functional alignment, and act as a vital liaison among senior business leaders and technical teams. Job Responsibility

  • Strategic Program Governance: Lead, coordinate, and drive the execution of multiple related projects under one cohesive corporate data governance program, ensuring strict alignment with overarching business strategy
  • Policy Development & Adoption: Oversee the operational execution, deployment, and business-unit adoption of newly established corporate data policies and standards
  • Milestone & Framework Control: Own end-to-end program delivery, including comprehensive tracking of deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and program budgets
  • Risk & Escalation Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program-level risks, issues, and structural dependencies, managing escalations efficiently to keep schedules on track
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Synchronize efforts across diverse, complex, and cross-functional teams to ensure unified execution and minimize operational friction
  • Executive Liaison & Reporting: Present clear, high-impact status updates, roadmap metrics, and strategic recommendations to key stakeholders and executive leadership teams

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience successfully managing large-scale, complex programs or multi-project portfolios
  • Data Governance Domain Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience specifically within Data Governance frameworks, including policy development, data standard enforcement, and multi-business-unit compliance adoption
  • Delivery Pedigree: Strong track record in customer-facing or internal business-facing deployment, demonstrating total ownership over project lifecycles, resource management, and budgeting
  • Soft Skills & Influence: Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. A demonstrated ability to influence decision-making and build relationships within matrixed organizational structures
