We are seeking a Project Planning Engineer to oversee planning activities across multiple brownfield Oil & Gas projects and ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant development and management of project schedules from engineering through execution. The role requires strong planning expertise, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate with international contractors, internal stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the planning aspects of Dalia Infills, GIRLIFEX (topside), SPS, drilling follow-up, Kaombo COW, and KARI Phase 1
Analyze, update, and maintain package planning to provide accurate inputs to the PBF Lead Planner (Angola)
Manage planning interfaces between all CTRs
Review and comment on contractors’ and vendors’ procedures, detailed schedules, and progress reports
Perform simulations and assess schedule impacts, proposing corrective actions when required
Define planning KPIs to monitor performance and escalate issues as needed
Participate in schedule reviews, risk analysis, and special studies
Contribute to planning definition for future CFTs and ensure smooth communication between Paris and Luanda
Keep PBF Lead Planner, Package Managers, and Leaders informed of schedule progress and risks
Liaise with Cost Control to ensure alignment between planning and invoicing progress
Liaise with Contract Engineers on Change Order schedule impacts
Support audits (internal and external)
Feed HSEQ teams with Lessons Learned (REX) at all project phases
Manage planning-related recruitment needs and coordinate with HR
Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example
Ensure activities comply with TEPA standards, local regulations, and ethical rules
Maintain strict confidentiality in all responsibilities
Work proactively (“by anticipation”) in all planning activities
Requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent
Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas Engineering & Construction
Strong knowledge of planning techniques and tools (Primavera P6 v7, MS Project 2013)
Experience with Pack Office 2013 and reporting tools
International experience is required
Fluent English (mandatory)
French and/or Portuguese optional
Strong organizational capabilities and rigor
Excellent communication and team spirit
Ability to work autonomously with strong reactivity and self-reliance
Competence in documentation review and reporting
Negotiation and business sense
Ability to formalize procedures
