Olsson's Facilities Engineering and Design Team provides comprehensive services for large commercial developments, healthcare facilities, laboratories, educational institutions, data centers, and military installations. As a Project Mechanical Engineer, you will apply diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments, independently make decisions on engineering complexities, and supervise staff.
Job Responsibility:
Perform detailed engineering tasks including project design, cost estimates, and design calculations
Prepare project documents, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
Independently tackle complex assignments, developing new and improved techniques and procedures
Coordinate across other Olsson teams and direct team members on design tasks
Work closely with project managers on the execution of design work
Assist with the project scope of work and schedule and may attend client meetings
Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of less experienced staff
Maintain project and client information within the firm’s project management system
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Must be a registered professional engineer with at least six years of relevant engineering experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
Strong understanding of International Building Codes
Strong communication skills
Ability to contribute and work well with a team
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
