This role blends estimating, project coordination, and client-facing leadership to keep work moving from bid stage through completion. The ideal candidate can interpret construction drawings, organize field and office resources, and maintain strong communication with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare competitive proposals for upcoming commercial construction opportunities and evaluate project documents to support accurate estimating
Identify and help secure new project opportunities by building strong relationships with clients and supporting business development efforts
Distribute project assignments to appropriate team members based on workload, experience, and project needs
Review blueprints, specifications, and related construction documents to guide planning and execution
Partner with subcontractors to align schedules, scope expectations, and project progress throughout each phase of work
Collaborate with accounting to ensure invoices, billing details, and project financial information are accurate and submitted on time
Direct day-to-day project activity while serving as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and resolving issues promptly
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications with accuracy
Background in construction estimating and preparing bids for commercial projects
Knowledge of construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project execution practices
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and office staff
Proficiency in project management within the construction industry, especially in commercial construction environments
Understanding of billing coordination and project cost tracking in partnership with accounting teams
