Job Description

Bureau Veritas are growing our Defence sector capability and is hiring a Project Manager to support the Estate Works Program (EWP) as part of the Project Delivery Service (PDS) ten-year contract, based in Sydney. You’ll be part of a collaborative and high-performing team, delivering impactful infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. Joining our Defence team means working on meaningful projects that support strategic outcomes. You’ll collaborate with a supportive and experienced team, engage with a broad range of stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering high-impact projects from planning through to completion. Job Responsibility

  • Project Manage infrastructure projects on behalf of our client through all lifecycle stages: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement
  • Manage project documentation and reporting in line with Defence and Bureau Veritas standards
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget, with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement
  • Oversee handover/takeover (HOTO) processes and ensure timely project closeout
  • Capture and share lessons learned to improve future project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Engineering, Construction Management)
  • A current Baseline Security Clearance (or ability to maintain one)
  • Proven experience managing construction projects, ideally within the Defence or Government sector
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or Agile
  • Strong understanding of government procurement practices and compliance standards
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
