Responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent projects for various Rolls-Royce sites. As part of the role the Project Manager must ensure that the projects are delivered to meet JLL & Rolls-Royce standards regarding health, safety, quality, cost and programme, whilst complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation. This includes compliance with MS18 and CSO6 Rolls Royce standards. Project Managers must be qualified in a related trade, civils/groundworks/building structures etc.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent projects for various Rolls-Royce sites
Ensure projects are delivered to meet JLL & Rolls-Royce standards regarding health, safety, quality, cost and programme, whilst complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation
Responsible for the execution of projects with potential values between £50k to £15m, across various Rolls-Royce sites in Bristol
Provide Health and safety leadership to your site delivery teams and promote behavioural safety improvements
Support the project risk management process and ensure effective controls are established
Manage the projects in accordance with the requirements of the NEC3 Framework Contract
Support project opportunities to realise, maintain and improve the commercial project performance
Play an active lead in the production and risk management of quotations and estimates
Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships
To ensure our suppliers, sub-contractors and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures
Work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable economic and constructable designs are produced
Liaise with the Rolls-Royce Project Managers and their appointed consultant Project Managers to ensure compliance
To ensure a high level of service is delivered and develop relationships with key stakeholders
Ensure projects are delivered to the agreed contract programme
To ensure works are carried out to high standard complying with relevant British Standards, codes of practice and Rolls-Royce Standards
Provide knowledge and support if required to ensure the quality and performance of the works
Ensure projects are completed snag and defect free
Ensure that post completion deliverables such as final accounts and Operation & Maintenance information is delivered within the contracted timescales
Provide coaching, mentoring and development support to direct reports and trainees
Requirements:
Proven and demonstrable experience in the role of a Project Manager within the building/construction/building service industries
Experience of working in occupied buildings/campuses
Experience of working in a live manufacturing environment
Experience in the use of NEC3 Contracts
Experience of managing health and safety procedures along with knowledge of H&S standards/regulations across multiple sites
Experience of multiple stakeholder experience
Ability to translate client needs into detailed plans
Detailed understanding of the RIBA design stages
Demonstrable experience of managing Mechanical and/or Electrical Designs and Installations
Demonstrable pre-construction experience
Ability to communicate the plan of work daily & weekly to multiple stakeholders
Able to read/interpret Arch/Struct/MEP drawings
Experience in the preparation of quotations and estimates
Ability to develop a good understanding of the customers’ business requirements
City & Guilds /NVQ (or equivalent) construction related qualification
SMSTS, JIB/BESA, CSCS Card, First Aid
Nice to have:
Competent user of IT software packages including MS Office, Fieldview or similar tablet-based quality assurance software
