Job Description:

A leading government authority in the Northern Beaches region is seeking a highly experienced and self-sufficient Project Manager to lead the revitalisation of The Strand, adjacent to Dee Why Beach. This is a critical civil infrastructure and streetscape project requiring end-to-end management from design through to construction.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinating design for streetscape works, including negotiation during the initial 3–4 month design phase
  • Managing procurement and overseeing construction, focusing on civil works such as kerb, gutter, and drainage, along with minor landscaping
  • Leading community consultation and managing relationships with key stakeholders, particularly local shopkeepers
  • Directly managing and looking after external consultants and contractors on site

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil works, streetscape, or similar infrastructure projects
  • Must be a self-sufficient, experienced PM capable of managing the project independently
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate both consultants (design) and contractors (construction)
  • Must hold Australian work rights and local experience
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
