We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Manager to support brand-focused initiatives for a nonprofit in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This Contract position will guide projects from initial planning through final delivery, helping teams stay aligned on timing, budget, and quality expectations. The role works closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to keep creative and operational work moving efficiently across multiple departments.
Job Responsibility:
Manage assigned brand, marketing, and communications projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and next steps remain on track
Develop and maintain detailed project plans in collaboration with internal leadership, clearly outlining milestones, resource needs, and dependencies
Monitor project status, budgets, and deadlines, escalating risks or issues as needed to support successful delivery
Act as a key liaison across internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to streamline communication and keep projects moving forward
Coordinate and lead project-related meetings, including planning sessions, status updates, and problem-solving discussions
Support procurement activities for printed and branded materials, including preparing purchase documentation, routing approvals, and working with external suppliers
Review proofs and final materials to verify accuracy, quality, and completeness prior to production or distribution
Maintain organized project documentation, invoices, samples, and departmental files to support efficient operations
Assist with administrative support needs such as office supply coordination and basic equipment oversight
Contribute to annual planning efforts by helping maintain master project schedules and tracking spending against approved budgets
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience required
At least 2 years of experience coordinating projects for a nonprofit or similar setting
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain organization, and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced environment
Strong written communication, editing, and proofreading skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with business software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
experience with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator is required
Familiarity with project or task management platforms such as Asana, Trello, Google Workspace, or similar tools is preferred
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships with internal and external partners
Project management knowledge in formal or cross-functional environments is valued
PMP certification, Agile Scrum exposure, SharePoint, and agenda preparation experience are a plus
