Company Overview: Our client is a leader in the utility and infrastructure services sector, renowned for delivering multi-utility solutions. You'll join them at the start of an 8 year, £100m framework contract with UKPN delivering network reinforcements, substation connections and asset replacement schemes between 11kv - 33kv. Role Overview: As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a series of wood pole overhead line schemes, transitioning from 11kV to 33kV lines to underground cabling. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality standards are met while maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and oversee the transition of wood pole overhead lines to underground cabling
Ensure projects comply with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, service providers, and stakeholders
Coordinate and supervise project activities, ensuring timelines and budget constraints are met
Implement risk management strategies and maintain high environmental standards
Provide regular updates on project progress to senior management
Offer technical guidance and support to the project team
Ensure project objectives regarding safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness are achieved
Conduct site visits and audits to ensure project specifications are adhered to
Manage resource allocation and scheduling for efficient project execution
Requirements:
Proven experience managing electrical infrastructure projects, ideally around OHL and underground cabling
Knowledgeable in the fields of 11kV to 33kV electrical systems
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the utility sector
Excellent project management skills, including planning, forecasting, and resource management
Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
