The Project Manager will be responsible for leading projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, managing budgets, motivating teams, and ensuring project goals align with business outcomes. This role focuses on the management of electrical and multi-disciplinary projects within the power and nuclear sector. You will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, procurement staff, construction specialists, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects safely, cost-effectively, and on schedule. The Project Manager serves as the primary interface with clients, leads multi-disciplinary project teams, manages risks and change control, and ensures work complies with internal procedures, applicable legislation, and industry standards. Although not responsible for performing engineering work, the role requires a working knowledge of engineering principles to effectively manage technical project scope.

Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables
Allocate resources and establish project timelines
Monitor and control project costs, risks, and performance metrics
Manage change control processes
Prepare accurate project documentation
Submit reports and updates to stakeholders
Manage contracts and agreements with vendors, contractors, and suppliers
Oversee staff, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
Track and maintain project schedules and budgets
Authorize expenditure commitments and approve invoice payments
Support multi-discipline projects throughout full project life cycle
Serve as primary client contact for multiple projects
Communicate clearly with stakeholders
Monitor and control project risks
Implement continuous improvement practices
Monitor expenditures
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Lead team meetings and deliver project updates
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to team members
Participate in project closeout activities
Prepare proposals and supporting materials for clients
Requirements:
University Degree, College Diploma, or post-graduate diploma in business, management, or a related field is preferred
PMP designation is an asset
Engineering background is an asset but not a requirement
A working knowledge of engineering principles is required to effectively manage technical project scopes, even though this is not an engineering role
6+ years of experience as a Project Manager on complex power and nuclear related projects
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment
Experience coordinating multi-discipline teams, consultants, and subcontractors
Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills to drive operational excellence
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
Experience leading project teams is an asset
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
Self-starter with strong initiative and ownership
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera
Knowledge of power system engineering principles as applied to design and construction projects
Experience developing project execution plans and managing project budgets
Experience in preparing proposals for clients
Willingness and ability to travel as needed (approximately 5%)
