Job Description

The goal of the Project Manager is to lead a team and be accountable for the deliverables of a scope of work. The Project Manager will apply deep functional expertise, world class client handling skills and expert technical skills to support our clients in implementing global change initiatives. The individual in this role will apply industrial engineering, lean, and six sigma principles to improve operations and processes. The Project Manager will provide leadership to our teams and client teams and work alongside employees, managers and top executives to deliver a scope of work. The individual in this role will use organizational development leadership skills to influence individuals and organizations to change behavior. Furthermore, the individual will be well versed and certified in project management methods (PMBOK, PMP, DMAIC, and / or DFSS) and follow methodology based, structured approach to implementing changes.

Job Responsibility

  • Be accountable for the deliverables of a scope of work.
  • Manage the members of our team on site.
  • Create and develop the project plan and milestones for the scope of work.
  • Create executive level presentations, organize weekly report outs, response to changes from the client within the scope of work.
  • Lead client companies implementing global change initiatives by working with all levels within our clients company.
  • Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
  • Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
  • Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities and collect data.
  • Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
  • Draft and design layout of facilities, equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer, simulation modeling and 3D design.
  • Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
  • Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plan.
  • Use Lean, 5S and Six Sigma methodologies to help clients obtain optimal results in their facilities, design Value Steam Maps and Process Maps in detail and efficiently.
