Job Description:

Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Project Manager in West Mifflin, PA. The Simulator Development & Integration team is leading the way in developing advanced simulation training tools used to train Sailors for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP). The team needs a versatile project manager who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting project work planning activities including defining trainer scope and functional requirements, cost estimating, schedule and budget development, and risk identification
  • Supporting solicitation, placement, and subsequent oversight of subtier supplier contracts
  • Monitoring project progress and performance against plans and initiating corrective actions
  • Executing schedule and assigned budget resources
  • Interfacing with project stakeholders internal and external to the Program
  • Identifying and implementing solutions to resolve challenges and minimize project impacts
  • Ensuring project results meet scope, schedule, cost, and technical quality requirements
  • Responsible for various phases of complex technical projects from initial planning and scoping to installation and delivery

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
  • Periodic travel to other NNPP and subtier supplier sites
  • US citizenship required
  • DOE L Clearance (or DOD equivalent) required

  • Program or project management experience within a technical business
  • Experience managing complex technical projects
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team building skills
  • Experience with new project startup, technical writing, cost estimating, and subtier supplier oversight
  • Experience working with engineers to define project scope and schedules
