As a Project Manager at Altus Group, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering successful commercial real-estate projects on behalf of our valued clients. Your expertise in project management, construction, and development management will be utilized to drive project execution, ensure client satisfaction, and contribute to the growth of our business.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage commercial real-estate projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Establish strong relationships with clients, acting as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle and aligning project objectives with client strategies and goals
Collaborate with stakeholders, including client teams, external consultants, and contractors, to coordinate project activities, resolve issues, and ensure effective communication
Prepare project schedules, development budgets, and procurement documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
Evaluate proposals and qualifications, make recommendations to clients, and assist in the negotiation and administration of contracts
Prepare and present clear and concise reports to clients, providing project status updates, risks, and recommendations for informed decision-making
Mentor and support junior project staff, providing guidance and fostering their professional growth
Attend and lead project meetings, including client meetings, design meetings, and construction progress reviews
Utilize software applications, such as MS Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, to report on project activities, financials, and project health
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in project management, construction, and real-estate
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or certificate in Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related discipline
Minimum of 5-15 years of experience working in a urban planning, construction, design, or project management consulting firm
Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute multiple commercial real-estate projects simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical documents and presentations
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
Proficiency in drafting project proposals, procurement documents, budgets, schedules, and progress billing recommendations
Solid technical knowledge of design and construction processes
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Experience using project management software and platforms
Nice to have:
Knowledge of BlueBeam, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, and SketchUp would be beneficial
Previous experience in owner representation and mentorship is considered an asset
